Veteran performers Wanda Degen and Pete Wittig both call the Lansing area home and both have performed extensively all around their home state of Michigan and well beyond. They began working together in 2001 when Wanda included Pete on her CD:
Of Woods and Water: Songs of the Great Lakes Region.
Wanda and Pete's versatility with all ages and types of event is shown with this partial listing of appearances in their first year: Lake Michigan National Forest Campground, Manistee; The Wheatland Music Festival, Remus; Lapeer Days, Lapeer; the Michigan Historical Museum, Lansing; Children's Concert Series, East Lansing; Noontimes, MSU; the Greater Lansing Librarians' Christmas party; Independence Village Retirement Community, East Lansing and Grand Ledge. Through Michigan's Great Outdoors Culture Tour they performed in the Upper Peninsula and on Isle Royale in July, 2002 and in the Porcupine Mountains in 2003.

Wanda Degen is well-known as a solo performer. She works with the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts based in Vienna, Virginia. She teaches private lessons on the autoharp and both kinds of dulcimer at Elderly Instruments in Lansing. Wanda's many musical collaborations include the trios Lady of the Lake and Catkin, the duo Damselfly and long-time partnerships with Dan Giacobassi, Pooh Stevenson and Kitty Donohoe. Currently she performs in the Celtic group The Troublesome Lasses. Wanda has released five recordings on her own label including the well-received, all-instrumental CD: The Valley of Abundance.
Pete Wittig is a singer-songwriter who first established himself playing guitar and harmonica in the ‘70s. Pete has sung his songs on WSM Radio in Nashville and with Bernie Nelson at the Bluebird Café and other Nashville clubs. He has played on the bill with musicians as diverse as Loudon Wainright III and Tom Rush to Jerry Lee Lewis and Bob Seger. Pete has also performed in such bands as The Sea Cruisers, Salt Creek, Fabulous Oldies but Goodies and Ormandy.
