A TRADITIONAL CHRISTMASDulcimer player and singer Wanda Degen presents a program of Christmas songs and tunes for the whole family to enjoy. Featuring traditional carols and popular holiday standards, Wanda accompanies her voice with both the hammered dulcimer and the mountain dulcimer as well as with the autoharp - a chorded zither. While a brief history of the instruments is included, the focus of the concert is the gathering of family and friends for a time of musical warmth and fun, listening to sweet sounds and joining voices in song. The flute makes a lovely, festive addition to "A Traditional Christmas" which can be presented as a duo with Wanda Degen being joined by either long-time partner Dan Giacobassi or Kay Rinker-O'Neil (from the trio Shantih), both highly regarded professionals.
